<br />Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 11 , 2008 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br />After the review by the Commission, Staff is requesting direction from the Planning <br />Commission on how to proceed with the amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Staff also stated the regular overflow meeting would be on September 25,2008. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br />Robert Pierce, 1827 Eisenhower Dr., Louisville, CO discussed the sections HS 2.7, 2.1 <br />and 3.2 as the recommendation of changes presented by the Senior Advisory Board. <br /> <br />Paula Palmer, 1603 Cottonwood Dr. Unit N, Louisville, CO identified the Cottonwood <br />Corridor on the map. The rest of her comments centered on the area with a request that <br />the site be officially designated Open Space. <br /> <br />Annie Hughes, 1405 Garfield Ct., Louisville, CO stated that she lives in the Cottonwood <br />Corridor area and she understands that establishing the area as Open Space is not as <br />important to some as it is to others. She stated her support of establishing the area as <br />Open Space. <br /> <br />John Shaw, 199 Harper St., Louisville, CO stated that perhaps the Cottonwood Corridor <br />Area had been zoned incorrectly because the current use is church/civic and not <br />residential as the zoning indicates. He stated that with the review of camp plan at this <br />time that perhaps now was a good time to look at the zoning of that area and make that <br />correction. <br /> <br />David Watkins, 1609 Cottonwood Dr. Unit #8, Louisville, CO discussed the easement <br />along Harper Street that was established with the original platting of the property in <br />1969. <br /> <br />Joel Hayes, 187 Harper St., Louisville, CO discussed a paragraph on page 3-35 that <br />starts with "While the initial open space holdings combined with those..." He <br />summarized by stating his support for making the Cottonwood Corridor Open Space. <br /> <br />Susan Brandler, 1609 Cottonwood Dr. Unit #11, Louisville, CO stated she had <br />submitted a letter of support for the Cottonwood Corridor to become open space and it <br />was included in the meeting packet. <br /> <br />Annie Hughes, representing Paul Casey, because he had to leave. His letter was for the <br />support of the Cottonwood Corridor to become open space. <br /> <br />Mark Persichetti, 1402 Taft Place, Louisville, CO stated his affiliation with the LRCaB. <br />He briefly discussed the new Sustainable Environment section of the camp plan and <br />stated his support of the addition of that section to the plan. <br /> <br />Michael Menaker, 1827 W. Chokecherry Dr., Louisville, CO stated his confusion with <br />the request from the Cottonwood Corridor group of people. He statee OSAB would set <br />the priority list of open space parcel in Louisville and no the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Bruce MacKenzie, 1612 Cottonwood Dr. Unit #21, Louisville, CO stated his opposition <br />of the development of the Cottonwood Park Corridor by stating the area should be open <br />space. <br /> <br />Lipton acknowledged there appeared no one else that came to speak on the camp plan. <br /> <br />Pritchard moved and Hartman seconded a motion to enter to record the letter from Paul <br />Casey that was read by Annie Hughes. Motion passed by voice vote. <br />
