<br />5/3/83 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that the City release $25,000.00 <br />to the L.D.C. to help finance the Child's <br />Place Day Care Center. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE FIRE DEPT. - <br />REQUEST STREET CLOSURE <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of a letter sub- <br />mitted by Mark Weber of the Louisville <br />Volunteer Fire Dept. of this request to <br />practice for their annual tournaments. <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that the Louisville Fire Dept. <br />be granted their request for street closures. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOUTH PARK - AWARD BID <br /> <br />Councilmembers had copies of the list of <br />bids and memo from Director Hioco stating <br />his recommendation. <br />Administrator Wurl advised that the project <br />total would be decreased by $10,500 due to <br />a pending grant from the Bureau of Outdoor <br />Recreation. <br /> <br />BID AWARDED <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that Treehouse Nursery be awarded <br />the bid for landscaping in the amount of <br />$1,652.00; Standard Fence Company be awarded <br />the fence bid in the amount of $7,463.00; <br />and JCG Corp. be awarded the concrete pads <br />and trail in the amount of $26,060.60 - <br />total project $35,175.60. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HELART PARK/HILLSBOROUGH <br />WEST <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the list of <br />bidders as well as recommendation from Director <br />Hioco. <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that Arrow J, <br />the low bidder, had a large mistake in the <br />bid and contacted the City stating they did <br />not desire to receive the bid, or perform <br />the work and reviewing this with the Park <br />Consultant it was felt that the second low <br />bidder would probably be the best person <br />to award the bid - SaBell's Construction. <br />in the amount of $120,731.00 for both parks. <br />
