5/3/83 Page -3- APPROVAL Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that the City release $25,000.00 to the L.D.C. to help finance the Child's Place Day Care Center. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. LOUISVILLE FIRE DEPT. - REQUEST STREET CLOSURE Councilmembers had a copy of a letter sub- mitted by Mark Weber of the Louisville Volunteer Fire Dept. of this request to practice for their annual tournaments. APPROVAL Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded that the Louisville Fire Dept. be granted their request for street closures. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. SOUTH PARK - AWARD BID Councilmembers had copies of the list of bids and memo from Director Hioco stating his recommendation. Administrator Wurl advised that the project total would be decreased by $10,500 due to a pending grant from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. BID AWARDED Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that Treehouse Nursery be awarded the bid for landscaping in the amount of $1,652.00; Standard Fence Company be awarded the fence bid in the amount of $7,463.00; and JCG Corp. be awarded the concrete pads and trail in the amount of $26,060.60 - total project $35,175.60. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. HELART PARK/HILLSBOROUGH WEST Councilmembers had a copy of the list of bidders as well as recommendation from Director Hioco. Attorney Rautenstraus advised that Arrow J, the low bidder, had a large mistake in the bid and contacted the City stating they did not desire to receive the bid, or perform the work and reviewing this with the Park Consultant it was felt that the second low bidder would probably be the best person to award the bid - SaBell's Construction. in the amount of $120,731.00 for both parks.
