FAMILY HOUSING PROJECT
WAIVE ADDITIONAL FEES

TOM CHANDLER, REPP~SENTING
NELSON-ROTH CONTRACTORS

APPROVAL TO WAIVE ADDITIONAL
FEES

6/15/82

Page -2-

Coucilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris
seconded that the public hearing on the Comp
Plan Amendments be set for August 3, 1982.
Question called for. All in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.

Each councilmember had a copy of Director
Rupp's memo requesting the waiver of ad-
ditional fees for the project. The re-
quest was for $15,600, which were the Park
fees and Building Permit, total cost of the
project $756,641.00. The contractor had
eliminated all the brick on the structures,
same number of units exist - family units.
It would be owned by the City Housing Authority
and would be rented by the residents of Louis-
ville. Window treatment was to be added.
If Council does not waive the fees - the
project would not go. The Louisville Housing
Authority were in hopes the project could be
constructed.
Mayor Meier inquired of Director Rupp if the
contractor was a reliable one so we did not
run into the same problems as those at Regal
Square. Rupp reported Nelson-Roth had a good
raport with H.U.D. officials and was nationally
known. He also advised maintenance costs have
been placed in the budget, restructured in the
rental fee.

Reported that the Housing Authority does not
put up any money at all until the project is
completed. H. U. D. officials and the City
Building Dept. makes iilspectians throughout
the construction. When it is determined the
project meets the plans and specs then there
is final acceptance by the Housing Authority.
Landscaping, , irrigation system will be pro-
vided by the contractor, as well as South
Boulder Road improvements.

Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris
seconded that the City waive the Park Fees
and Building Permit Fee for $15,600.00 on
this project.
