9/15/81 Page -2- Administrator Wurl advised Hr. Littlejohn and members of council that staff was unaware that they wished a resolution. At this point it was too late to get one prepared before the election;his suggestion was council make a motion in support of the election. Mayor Caranci Asked about the location of the sub-station; and if it would be constructed in the near future. Hr. Littlejohn referred to item 8 of the fact shee~t - new sub-station - $175,000, and explained this would be a 5-year plan making the sub-station eighth in priority when the need occured to house new equip- ment. Councilman Meier Advised that the present council as well as members of past councils added to the problems of the Fire District of trying to keep up v;rith service with annexations and growth policies, and it was his feeling the City and Council should support the bond election. Councilman DelPizzo Councilman Meier Inquired about the telesquirt fire truck and 50' ladder for taller structures. Mr. Littlejohn informed Councilman DelPizzo that if the footage of the ladder was increased the price would be exorbitant. He also advised the telesquirt truck would be adequate to service all buildings presently in the City - approximately 30' high. Inquired if portable pond was included in the fact sheet. Littlejolm advised that it was - item #3, explained porta pond is a collapsible tank made of heavy plastic with a metal frame, folds apart - 7" wide by 12', can be siphoned from and frees the tanker truck to go for more water.
