<br />9/15/81 <br /> <br />Page -2- <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised Hr. Littlejohn <br />and members of council that staff was unaware <br />that they wished a resolution. At this point <br />it was too late to get one prepared before <br />the election;his suggestion was council <br />make a motion in support of the election. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci <br /> <br />Asked about the location of the sub-station; <br />and if it would be constructed in the near <br />future. <br />Hr. Littlejohn referred to item 8 of the <br />fact shee~t - new sub-station - $175,000, <br />and explained this would be a 5-year plan <br />making the sub-station eighth in priority <br />when the need occured to house new equip- <br />ment. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier <br /> <br />Advised that the present council as well <br />as members of past councils added to the <br />problems of the Fire District of trying to <br />keep up v;rith service with annexations and <br />growth policies, and it was his feeling the <br />City and Council should support the bond <br />election. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo <br /> <br />Councilman Meier <br /> <br />Inquired about the telesquirt fire truck <br />and 50' ladder for taller structures. <br />Mr. Littlejohn informed Councilman DelPizzo <br />that if the footage of the ladder was <br />increased the price would be exorbitant. <br />He also advised the telesquirt truck would <br />be adequate to service all buildings presently <br />in the City - approximately 30' high. <br /> <br />Inquired if portable pond was included in <br />the fact sheet. <br />Littlejolm advised that it was - item #3, <br />explained porta pond is a collapsible tank <br />made of heavy plastic with a metal frame, <br />folds apart - 7" wide by 12', can be siphoned <br />from and frees the tanker truck to go for <br />more water. <br /> <br />Councilman Brown <br /> <br />As a clarification on the $800,000 - the <br />total amount of the bond would not be sold <br />at one time - would they take advantage of <br />
