Councilman DelPizzo Bob Nartin - Hancock & Johnson Representative of the Applicant Councilman Fauson Councilman Cillnmings Councilman Domenico Councilman Brown ADOPTION RESOLUTION #21 - SUNDANCE REPLAT AND P.U.D. 9/15/81 Page -8- Stated he much preferred the brick service station to the large overhang roof. Bob Johnson, 5809 Arapahoe - architect for the project informed council the Diamond-Shamrock people instructed him to stick with design with the overhang roof which they expect to use throughout the State of Colorado and establish their own ideni.ty. Remarked that he was at the Planning Com- mission meeting when the project was dis- cussed and it was his opinion that the applicant had been most cooperative and thought the plan was a good one and com- patible with Christopher Village. Inquired other than the service station what other type of business would be in the proj E~ct. Martin advised at this time the fast-food restaurant chain had not been selected, and office buildings and commercial structures would be constructed. The west access would tie into Christopher Village with a joint vehicular and pedestrian sharing. Also stated he did not favor the large overhang roof on the service station and much preferred the brick building. Expressed his concern with the height of structure of the service station. Hartin advised the distance from the base of the structure to the roof was approxi- mately 12' . Councilman Heier moved that Resolution #20 Coal Train Square Final Plat & P.U.D. Special Review Use be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Brown. Question called for. 5 Ayes - 1 Nay - Councilman DelPizzo dissent- ing. Hotion carried. Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution in its entirety.
