Caleb Dickinson <br />Staff Present: Megan Davis, Acting City Manager <br />Kayla Betzold, Sustainability Coordinator <br />Kurt Kowar, Director of Public Works <br />Emily Hogan, Assistant City Manager <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />Others Present: Kathleen Kelly, City Attorney <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — INTERNAL DECARBONIZATION PLAN <br />Assistant City Manager Hogan stated the City Council adopted climate action goals in <br />2019 including to meet Louisville's municipal electric needs with 100% carbon -free <br />sources by 2025 and to reduce core municipal GHG emissions annually below the 2016 <br />baseline through 2025. The 2022 Council Work Plan includes an item to create internal <br />strategic de -carbonization plan for City facilities and operations. The proposed Request <br />for Proposals (RFP) for the plan will include a roadmap for electrification and <br />decarbonization of all City buildings, fleet, equipment and operations by 2030. <br />$600,000 was allocated in the 2021 budget for energy efficiency upgrades at municipal <br />facilities, with the goal of reducing energy consumption and decreasing renewable <br />programming costs and utility costs as a first step in this process. <br />City of Louisville <br />City Council 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4536 (phone) www.LouisvilleCO.gov <br />
