<br />4/21/81 <br /> <br />Page - 7 - <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo <br />Sewer Lift Station <br /> <br />Stated he received a call from Ray <br />Woodbury of 2157 Centennial Drive who <br />saw the trouble light go on at the sewer <br />lift station and he was concerned because <br />previously the sewer had backed up into his <br />basement. He tried telephoning Mr. Wurl <br />and Mr. HcNulty and neither of them were <br />at home. Mr. Woodbury then called the <br />police department and expressed his con- <br />cern. He was told unless it was an emer- <br />gency situation they would be unable to <br />respond. Councilman DelPizzo requested <br />when a call such as this is received by <br />the Police Dept. after the city offices <br />are closed, that they" inform the caller <br />whom to contact. <br /> <br />Code Enforcement on Weeds, <br />Overhanging Branches, etc. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo suggested that the <br />Code Enforcement Officer check a list of <br />violations such as low hanging branches, <br />untrimmed shrubs that obstruct visability <br />for vehicles at different corners, or un- <br />trimmed shrubs that obstruct sidewalks; <br />and notify the owners. <br />He then wished Councilman Carnival good luck <br />and he enjoyed working with him. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival <br />Sewer Lift Station at <br />Centennial Drive <br /> <br />Inquired what the status was regarding the <br />improvements to the lift station. <br />Administrator Wurl advised the preliminary <br />specs had been received and are being re- <br />veiwed by staff, and soon will be ready to <br />go out for bids. <br />Inquired what the anticipation date was for <br />the back--up equipment. <br />Administrator Wurl advised - September, 1981. <br />Inquired what the status of this was. <br />Mr. Wurl advised this was contingent upon <br />telephone circuits available. <br /> <br />Alarm System relay to <br />Police Department <br /> <br />Tnsurance Claims <br /> <br />Inquired if these will be installed also. <br />Administrative Wurl advised the map is <br />available depicting the area most susceptible <br />to the problem and a count of the homes. <br />Noel Hobbs informed him that an estimate of <br />costs was being prepared. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival inquired if the insurance <br />company had reconciled with the people in <br />terms of settlement of damage to their basements. <br />Mr. Wurl to check. <br /> <br />Back - water Valves <br />
