Employees are given <br />a cost of living increase and if council <br />budgets a merit raise, and if they are <br />deserving, the employees get the increase. <br />This is first approved by the department <br />head and then by Administrator Wurl. <br />Councilman Cummings then inquired if <br />the merit increase is given the employee <br />after his evaluation. Mr. Wurl stated <br />that it was. <br /> <br />Inquired if an employee could get 2 <br />merit increases in one year if it is <br />within the budget for that department. <br />Administrator Wurl stated that is correct. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival inquired if tempor- <br />ary employees were evaluated. Adminis- <br />trator Wurl replied - no. Part-time <br />employees that are employed a full year <br />are evaluated, i.e. library employees, <br />however if the employee is seasonal <br />he is not evaluated. <br /> <br />Referred to Priority list a,b,c. <br />After discussion it was decided to <br />delete sections a,b, and c from the <br />Priority list. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read the resolution in <br />its entirety. <br />Councilman Fauson moved that Resolution <br />#39 - Series 1980 - Changes to the <br />City of Louisville Personnel Code be <br />adopted. Seconded by Councilman Cum- <br />mings. Question called for. All in <br />favor. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance by <br />title only, and each member of Council <br />had before him a copy for their review <br />and files. He advised the speed limit <br />would be reduced from 30 MPH to 25 MFH. <br />
