Per City Council Meeting Minutes this <br />proclamation was read during the Yam„ <br />December 3, 1991 Council meeting. <br />Gffia o f tee mayor <br />�a�tisut11r, 01.10torabo <br />proclamation <br />WHEREAS, Crime Stoppers is an international organization with <br />850 registered programs in 11 countries and every state <br />in the United States that are united in their <br />dedication to solving crimes; and <br />WHEREAS, This community -based, non-profit organization operates <br />largely on private sector donations and has solved more <br />than 314,174 felony crimes and recovered more than $1.8 <br />billion of stolen property and illegal narcotics since <br />it was organized in 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, This organization is responsible for sending 58,200 <br />suspects to trial and has received 56,340 convictions, <br />allowing it to record a 97 percent conviction rate; and <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County has participated in the Crime Stoppers <br />Program since September 30, 1982, and <br />WHEREAS, Boulder County Crime Stopper Program has been <br />responsible for solving 1,101 crimes, the recovery of <br />$2.5 million in stolen property, the confiscation and <br />removal of over $11 million in illegal narcotics from <br />the streets of our communities, and has sent 175 <br />suspects to trial and gained 174 convictions from these <br />efforts, and <br />WHEREAS, It is appropriate for The CITY of LOUISVILLE to <br />recognize this program and its crime fighting efforts <br />that make our City and County a safer place to live; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, HERM FAUSOM, Mayor of The CITY of <br />LOUISVILLE , proclaim January 1992 as <br />CRIME STOPPERS MONTH <br />IN THE CITY OF LOUSIVLLE <br />Jn witness w4zszof _q 41avc %uscunto set my <br />4and utzd caused .eis scat to gr affixed, <br />ATTEST: <br />DATE <br />
