Cityo f '6Louisvi-11e COLORADO - SINCE 1878 Open Space Advisory Board Meeting Minutes November 9, 2022 Library 111 Floor Meeting Room 951 Spruce Street 7:00 PM Call to Order — Chairperson David Blankenship called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Board Members Present: David Blankinship, Laura Scott Denton, Charles Danforth, Susan McEachern, Jessamine Fitzpatrick (remote) Board Members Absent: Helen Moshak Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull, Brendan Close (new Senior Natural Resource Specialist) Approval of Agenda — The agenda was approved by all members. Approval of Meeting Minutes — The minutes from the October 12, 2022 meeting were approved with amendment of Item 8 in paragraph 4, the sentence, "Ember reported that the staff doesn't know of any," refers specifically to accidents on the section of the trail being proposed for paving. Public Comments - None Staff Updates - See updates on page 11-12 of the October 2022, OSAB Meeting packet. Further updates and explanations were done in the meeting by Ember. Ember introduced Brendan Close, the new staff Senior Natural Resource Specialist. Davidson Mesa trail repair work is ongoing this week. Next week, there will be seeding. This work was funded by a grant. The 104th Street Trail work will be starting at the Aquarius end first. Staff are still working on testing and approving trail materials. Ember thinks the work in the field will be begin within the month. David said that there is pipe work on the eastern side of 104th St. Ember thought that was piping for irrigation ditch work or storm water related to trail improvements.
