Members of the Louisville City Council
749 Main St.
Louisville, CO 80027
Dear Mayor Maloney, Mayor Pro Tern Fahey, Councilmember Brown, Councilmember
Dickinson, Councilmember Leh, and Councilmember Most:
I am writing this letter to formally express my interest in the current vacancy on city council. As a
working mother and resident of Louisville, I believe my professional and personal experiences
have prepared me to successfully represent constituents as our community strives to preserve
Louisville's history while planning for future success.
I have worked in the healthcare and biotechnology space for over a decade, both as an
individual contributor and as a team leader for large corporations and small start-ups. Practicing
ego -free, servant -based leadership, I strive to be a calm and trusted leader who provides
forward thinking, innovative solutions through critical evaluation of data and open conversations
with team members. As a community, the residents of Louisville rely on their leaders to make
informed and strategic decisions. My experience as a trusted and innovative leader has
prepared me to successfully represent the best interests of the residents and businesses in
Louisville. Additionally, my expertise in the healthcare and biotechnology sector will especially
add value to discussions centered around the economic vitality of Louisville, as this sector of the
economy is becoming increasingly important when considering how to attract quality,
high -paying jobs for our citizens.
On a personal level, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to represent the needs of other working
parents and ensure our community remains an environmentally responsible and prosperous
small town our children want to return to when they become adults. It is the natural beauty and
sense of community that drew my family to move to Louisville in 2016 and immediately seek
historic landmarking of our home. I also feel the need to demonstrate to other working parents
and future generations that a working mother can participate in local government and positively
impact her community.
I value the history and natural beauty of Louisville and feel privileged to live in a safe and
supportive community. I believe my professional and personal experiences will add value to the
city council as we work to ensure Louisville remains the small town of choice for both residents
and businesses.
I look forward to speaking further about my qualifications and why I am an ideal candidate for
the current vacancy on city council.
Sincerely,
&vbaea HAs liagtot ,
Resident, Ward III
, Louisville
10
