<br />April 18, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 2 <br /> <br />FERRERA REQUEST <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />still be the chain link from the property <br />line to the edge of the sidewalk. <br />It was noted that the easement on the north <br />side of the property is maintained by the <br />property owner and if the fence is not <br />allowed there will be persons cutting <br />across the grass to get to the open <br />space area. <br />Mr. Drumm noted that it was his recommen- <br />dation that the fence not be allowed as <br />there is a bike path directly behind the <br />fence and if the person on the north side <br />of the street would request the same, it <br />may be very dangerous with young people <br />darting out into the street behind the <br />fence. <br />Councilman DiCarlo asked if the code for <br />the setback was in effect when the other <br />fence was installed; and if so, who <br />approved the installation. Mr. Drumm <br />stated that he was not sure and that <br />during the time of changes, Wood Bros. <br />was in the process of developing. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci moved <br />that action be taken on the request. <br />Seconded by Councilman Meier. Roll call. <br />DiLorenzo yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes, <br />DelPizzo no, DiCarlo yes, Kilker no. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was <br />not familiar with the area and felt that <br />the problem whould be looked at. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci then moved that the <br />property owner be allowed to put a fence <br />in up to their property line and the ex- <br />cess chain link fence be removed and staff <br />study the problem of maintenance. Se- <br />conded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Roll <br />call. DiCarlo no, Caranci no, Kilker no, <br />DiLorenzo no, Meier no, DelPizzo no. <br />Motion defeated. <br />Council and staff will check further into <br />the request. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #584 <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />WATER BOND - SECOND <br />READING <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that all necessary <br />publications have been made and that Mr. <br />Dunn Krahl was in attendance to answer <br />any questions. <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance #584 on se- <br />cond reading by title only. <br />
