<br />April 18, 1978 <br />Minutes - page 6 <br /> <br />HUMAN SERVICE <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that during the <br />first year there will be a study made as <br />to the needed services in the communities. <br />After comments roll call vote was taken. <br />DiCarlo no, Kilker no, DelPizzo no, <br />Caranci yes, Meier yes, DiLorenzo yes. <br />Tie vote. Mayor Waschak voted yes to <br />carry the motion. <br /> <br />HIGH WIND FENCES <br /> <br />Councilman MEier requested that the Attorney <br />draft an ordinance pertaining to high wind <br />fences within the City. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo requested that some- <br />thing be done about resurfacing West <br />Street as it is in very bad condition. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the area is now on <br />the City preliminary plan for improve- <br />ments, first the water line must be re- <br />placed before the street is resurfaced. <br /> <br />WEST STREET RESUR- <br />FACING <br /> <br />SMELLY WATER <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that his water <br />is also foul smelling and wondered if it <br />would be possible to flush the hydrants. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he requested the <br />Public Works Director to take a sample <br />at one location to see what the problem <br />may be. <br /> <br />STORM SEWER IN <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would <br />rather see the stomr sewers placed in <br />more needed areas. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that this project is <br />through a grant. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that the Code Enforcer <br />has resigned. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo requested that the <br />City Planner and Engineer study the poss- <br />bility of Library expansion. It was <br />noted by staff that the entire City Hall <br />is being studied for expansion. <br /> <br />CODE ENFORCER <br /> <br />LIBRARY EXPANSION <br /> <br />SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo asked about the pro- <br />gress of the sidewalk replacement program. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the program is in- <br />cluding almost the entire City which <br />includes the Middle School. <br /> <br />Councilman DiLorenzo moved that the Council <br />Comments and Committee Reports be accepted <br />and placed on file. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br />carried. <br />
