Grandby's program was a <br />disaster. <br />- Grace: there's also the question of who is responsible for maintenance <br />when it's on private property. <br />- Jeff: LRC has a business improvement program where businesses can <br />apply for a grant to do things to their facade. <br />16. Action Item: Adopt Severe Weather Plan for Summer Concerts <br />- Beth: suggests a phased code for monitoring weather threats. <br />- Erica: not aware of any other city entity like the outdoor pool having a <br />phased code. <br />- JR makes a motion to adopt the plan as proposed, Sarah seconds. All in <br />favor. No opposition. <br />17. Information Item: 2023 Art Grant recipients; updates on pending grants <br />from previous years <br />- JR: Top five recipients will receive a grant: Not All Men, Soul Penny <br />Circus, Artists with Disabilities, Ambient Experience and Motus Theatre. $1,710 <br />is left over from the grants process and can be put into the Programing budget. <br />Thanks the LCC for getting scoring sheet back quickly. It was a good process <br />and there are things to improve. He thinks that we can talk more clearly about <br />what we are expecting from Art Grants recipients. Thanks Grace for her help . <br />- Pending grants from 2022 <br />- Center Stage: never completed their evaluation process and they never <br />accepted the money in 2022. <br />- Blue birds craft fair- they decided not to move forwards with their 2022 <br />grant. <br />Money not accepted goes back to the general fund. We want to catch that <br />so the funds can go to a different awardee. <br />18. Items tabled in January meeting: <br />• Information Item: Current Programming commitments for 2023 <br />JR- the 5th band for the summer concert is still being searched for 2023. <br />- Grace: there is currently no other planned programming for the rest of the <br />year. We want to take advantage of the increase in budget so let's book <br />something by next meeting. <br />- Programming Subcommittee decides to meet on the 24th at the Rec <br />Center at 8am. <br />• Discussion Item: 2023 Programming Goals/overview <br />- Erica: talks about EDI and how we can incorporate that into the plans of <br />the LCC. Offers to include this in the agenda for the Programming. <br />• Discussion Item: EDI meaningful recognition <br />Grace: when you consider what events to hold to acknowledge these <br />significant dates, ask these two questions: Who is the audience (when <br />
