Frank Fabrizio was born in Louisville to Italian -born parents. By the 1920s, he was a <br />math teacher at Louisville Junior High & High School. He then advanced to be principal <br />of Louisville High School (in addition to also teaching math) and he served in that <br />capacity while living at 1033 Jefferson. This photo from circa 1939-1941 shows him in his <br />classroom: <br />MR. F-BRIZIO <br />PRINCIPAL <br />Lena Malpede Fabrizio was also born in Colorado to Italian -born parents. She became <br />active in Louisville's Saturday Study Club, which was a women's club that managed the <br />public library and promoted culture. <br />In February 1940, Lena Fabrizio hosted a gathering of the Saturday Study Club at her <br />home at 1033 Jefferson. The occasion was to honor the founders of the Saturday Study <br />Club who had formed the club in 1898. According to an article in the Feb. 8, 1940 <br />Louisville Times that covered the event, some of the women in attendance wore vintage <br />dresses from an earlier time to represent the founders.
