Gutierrez Ownership, 1965-1995
Robert Gutierrez (1936-2016) and Louise Avila Gutierrez (1942-1995) owned 545 Jefferson from
1965 to 1995. They had grown up in Boulder County and married in 1961. According to City of
Louisville building safety permits, Robert Gutierrez remodeled the house in about 1966.
It is not known for certain whether the Gutierrez family lived at 545 Jefferson. Polk directories
for Boulder County from 1974 to 1990 that are available to view indicate that the house was
being rented out to different people during that time. Robert Gutierrez sold 545 Jefferson in
1995 after Louise's death.
Later Owners, 1995-present
In 1995, Robert Gutierrez sold 545 Jefferson to Tracey Paolone. She in turn sold it to Ann Marie
Spear in 1997. Spear owned it until 2005, when she conveyed her interest in it to Ronald Lo
Sasso and Jonathan Lo Sasso. In 2006, they sold 545 Jefferson to Heather Houghton, who
owned it until 2022. She sold it to 5280 Property Holdings, LLC, who in September 2022 sold it
to Paul T. Little and Katherine S. Anderson.
Architectural Style
According to the report "Stories in Places: Putting Louisville's Residential Development in
Context" (Microsoft Word - Final Louisville Residential Context 111918 (louisvilleco.eov))
written by PaleoWest Archaeology for the City of Louisville, the house at 545 Jefferson Ave. was
built in the Pyramidal architectural style.
7
