2a. 96.h Street (Hwy 42) Crossing or Underpass. This would be beneficial in
the regional trail connections mentioned in #2. Cost estimate: $20,000 to
$500,000

2b. Cost estimate:
$500,000+

Slatl/s: Undelpasses are olltside the nmding scope of Boulder CO\Ulty Parks and Open Space CIP.

3. Davidson Ditch connection between Davidson Mesa & North Open Space:
This trail would connect the Davidson Mesa trails system with the North Open
Space trail system following the
Davidson Ditch. Regionally, this
trail would connect proposed trail
recommendation number four
(Callahan to City of Boulder)
with proposed trail
recommendation number six
(Davidson Mesa/Coal Creek to
Marshall Mesa). The City of
Boulder Open Space and
Mountain Parks has been
contacted about this project
however, further discussion
needs to occur to determine their
position regarding passive
recreation and future partnering at this location.

-L'.I
. Callahan & Burlington Northern Railroad: The purple trail represents a
conceptual not actual trail alignment along the Burlington Northern Rail Road.
This concept was supported
in both the Boulder Valley
Comprehensive Plan and the
Boulder County
Comprehensive Plan. In the
future this trail connection
could potentially connect the
City of Boulder to Louisville,
Lafayette and Superior.

I

l3b1e~

I

.

"
,i
'-
G
I'
.1
~,' ~ .. . - .

~.II./ ..

.... -.....

l

I

.

.'
-.'/

Slnllls: Boulder County does not ha\"e any plans for completion of tlus trail cOlUlection at this
time.
