<br />October 18, 1977 <br />Minutes - page 2 <br /> <br />1978 BUDGET HEARING <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Councilman Dhieux moved that Council <br />adopt Resolution #10, Series 1977, City <br />of Louisville, Colorado, adopting the <br />1978 budget. Seconded by Councilman <br />DiCarlo. <br />Mr. Wurl stated to Councilman DelPizzo <br />that the budget includes all anticipated <br />grants, loans, etc. and the net budget <br />total excluding grants, etc. is about <br />1.8 million dollars. <br />After comments roll call was taken. <br />Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, Dhieux yes, DiCarlo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />FIRE DISTRIGrREPORT <br /> <br />Tom Poydock stated that the department <br />is having a budget meeting and would <br />like to see Council approve the 15 year <br />repaYment for the fire hall. <br />Mr. Murl stated that the paYment would <br />begin in January 1979, and felt that in <br />all fairness, the City should not have <br />to carry the fire district for more then <br />ten years. He also stated that by the time <br />the district comes into effect, the City <br />will have paid $40,000 on the fire hall. <br />Mr. Poydock stated that the reason the <br />fire department went with the 15 year <br />program was because the extra expenses <br />with the beginning of the new district. <br />It was stated that if the mill levy was <br />raised by the fire district they would be <br />able to payoff the debts faster; however, <br />they are trying to keep it low to see the <br />fire district idea. Councilman Caranci <br />asked that a copy of the proposed budget <br />be given to Council. <br />Mr. Poydock stated that it would be pre- <br />sented as soon as they get a committment <br />from the City pertaining to the Fire Equip. <br />and the building. <br />After comments, Councilman Domenico moved <br />that the Fire Department be sold all the <br />equipment, etc. except the building for <br />$1.00; however, if the district fails then <br />all that was sold will be turned back over <br />to the City of Louisville. Seconded by <br />Councilman Di Carlo. <br />Roll call on motion. Domenico yes, Caranci <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes, Dhieux <br />yes, DiLorenzo yes. Motion carried. <br />
