<br />June 7, 1977 <br />page 2 - minutes <br /> <br />POSS CONTINUED <br /> <br />DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes, <br />Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo requested a meeting <br />be held with the building inspector and <br />City staff to discuss his concerns. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />AMERICAN LEGION <br />CANOPY <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Ray, representing the American Legion, <br />stated that the Legion has plans to pur- <br />chase a canopy for the cemetary use during <br />funerals. He stated that they are going <br />to contact different parties to see if <br />they are interested in helping to pay for <br />the canopy. He requested that City Coun- <br />cil consider donating funds to purchase <br />the canopy. Council will notify the Legion <br />on June 21st, at the next meeting. <br /> <br />FALL FESTIVAL <br /> <br />Mr. Ray stated that the Legion would like <br />to hold the fall festival on the City land <br />north of the Rod and Gun Club. Councilman <br />Domenico asked if any streets would have <br />to be blocked. <br />Mr. Ray stated that the one one would be <br />South Street from the tracks to Hwy 42. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE 11538 <br />MODEL TRAFFIC CODE <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus read the ordinance <br />on second reading by title only. <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />There were no comments for or against the <br />ordinance. Public hearing was closed and <br />remarks were turned over to Council. <br />Councilman Domenico stated that he wanted <br />the word "U-turn" removed from the ordinance <br />Attorney Rautenstraus stated that there <br />are several clarifications for U-turns <br />along with improper turns. <br />There were no other comments. <br />Councilman Domenico requested that the <br />chairman of the police commission schedule <br />a meeting on this. <br />After discussion Councilman McDonald moved <br />that Ord. #538 be adopted. Seconded by <br />Councilman Domenico. Roll call vote. <br />DelPizzo yes, Domenico yes, DiLorenzo yes, <br />McDonald yes. Motion carried. <br />
