<br />March 15, 1977 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />POLICE VEHICLES <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Chief Munger stated that Mr. Wurl was com- <br />piling a list of vehicles to be auctioned. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the pur- <br />chase of the Chevrolet Nova;;;'; $5,370.94 <br />be approved: Seconded by Councilman <br />McDonald. Roll call vote on motion. <br />Caranci yes, DiCarlo no, DiLorenzo yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />COMMUNITY OF COMMERCE <br /> <br />Mr. Smith, representing the Community of <br />Commerce, stated that at their meeting the <br />discussion was held on off street parking. <br />They are requesting that Council consider, <br />as a part of their planning for additional <br />commercial zoning to include adequate off <br />street parking for those areas. <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL REQUEST <br /> <br />Mrs. Suzy Westbrook, representing the <br />City Centennial Committee, requested that <br />Council officially designate the City flag <br />emblem as the official insignia of the <br />Centennial Celebration for the City. <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />BiCentennial Flag be designated as the <br />official Centennial Emblem for the City <br />of Louisville. Seconded by Councilman <br />DiLorenzo. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #532 <br />MASSAGE PARLORS <br /> <br />All members of Council had before them a <br />copy of Ordinance #532 for their review <br />and file. <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance #532 on first <br />reading by title only. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was not <br />happy with the licensing fees; he moved <br />that the fees for the Massage Parlor license <br />be lowered to $200, Renewal fee $200 and <br />transfer of ownership fee $200.00. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Redding, 1608 Cottonwood Dr. <br />stated that he was a student of massage <br />therapy at the Boulder School of Massage <br />Therapy, which is the only school that <br />meets the requirements that are put in the <br />ordinance. <br />Mr. Redding gave Council a brief summary of <br />himself and the purpose of massage. <br />Mr. Redding summarized his presentation by <br />stating that the fees should be comparable <br />to a barber, the person should be the one <br />licensed and not the establishment; also, <br />
