The original agreement was for a percent- <br />age of the construction costs; an adjustment <br />was made making the cost a flat fee. <br /> <br />2. An amendment to standard form of agree- <br />ment between owner and architect was made <br />showing that the total amount of fees for the <br />project would not exceed $30,000. <br />Mr. Anderson stated that the Council would <br />need to authorize the Mayor to sign the agree- <br />ment on the changes of the fees not to ex- <br />ceed $30,000. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the matter be <br />tabled for review until the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl asked if the clause stating that the <br />architects can get no more then $1,200 fee, <br />if the project does not go through was still <br />in effect. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson stated that it was not. <br />have already been drawn and it is in <br />ment that if the project does not go <br />then there are no further fees to be <br />the architect. <br /> <br />The plans <br />the agree- <br />any further <br />paid to <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl asked what happens if the loan is <br />turned down. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson stated that out the cost for <br />the initial plans at this time, will be <br />reimbursed back into construction costs. <br />The way it is set up with the contractors is <br />that there would be no charges. <br /> <br />City Attorney Joss stated that there should be <br />some type of clarification on the phrase "not <br />to exceed $30,000", as it reads now the City <br />is open to be paying up to $30,000 even if the <br />project does not go through. <br />After discussion, Councilman Caranci seconded <br />Councilman DiCarlo's motion to table any action <br />on the agreement for study until th~fl~xt . <br />meeting. Question called for. All were in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Anderson briefly reviewed the budget for <br />the project; which totaled about $686,000. <br />He noted that HUD would be subsidizing the <br />monthly rent costs. <br />He also briefly reviewed the basic structure. <br />There was no further discussion. <br />
