PIERCE SUIT
CONTINUED

ORDINANCE #517

COLORADO LUC SUIT

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
MEEINT WITH HUD

February 15, 1977
Minutes - page 7

Attorney Joss stated that the property in ques-
tion is up for sale at the cost of $65,000.
Attorney Joss requested that Council meet
with him before the next meeting to discuss
the suit in private as there are some attorney
client matters that should be discussed.
The meeting will be directly before the
March 1, 1977 council meeting.

Attorney Joss read Ordinance #517 on second
reading by title only. He stated that this
ordinance deals with liquor licenses mainly,
and also gives the fees for contractors li-
censes.

Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance #517
be adopted. Seconded by Councilman McDonald.
Roll call: Domenico yes, DiCarlo yes,
McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes,
Caranci yes. Motion carried.

Attorney Joss stated that a copy of the con-
sent of dismissal has been signed by him and
submitted to the district court in Boulder.
It was submitted to the court by Mr. Hobbs,
a member of the Attorney General's staff,
dismissing this action on behalf of the LUC.
Mr. Joss stated that he did receive a minute
order from Judge Neighbors which officially
dismissed the suit.

Attorney Joss stated that he has submitted a
report of the meeting he attended with Mr.
Fred Metzler and Mindee Brown of HUD. Also
in attendance was David Chenoweth.

Mr. Joss noted that one item - how much of the
directors work could be paid for through CD
money. There were two basic things discussed.
1. There had to be some relationship with
the CD in existance which had to be approved
for funding by HUD.
The other general standards was that it had
to meet the guidelines set out by the
1974 act.

2. The CD money is not to be spent for normal
city functions; the idea here being the fact
that CD money is intended to give cities the
feasibility and availability to conduct and
complete projects that they otherwise would
not be ab~e to do.
