PLANNING CONSULTANT FUNDING CONTINUED drawn up to transfer the monies allocated in the budget for the draftsman and office help. He also advised that an application for a grant had been submitted to the Division of Local Government relating to the planning activities that the City has done in the past on Land Use. At the time the application was submitted they were not willing to go along with this; however, recently he had been informed that $12,000 was remaining in the grant fund and the they requested that we re- vise out application, and it looks favorable that Louisville will get the grant of $12,000. This amount of money was not anticipated in the budget, but hopefully it will become a reality, and of course should be spent in the planning budget. Councilman McDonald moved that Council recommend Option #2, for the temporary funding for the Planning Consultant a transfer from the Engineering Dept., Draftsman and office help, and Building Inspection office help and Anti-Recession Fiscal assistance fund for a period of 5 months, or until the Community Development reorganization question is settled. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. After discussion Mayor Waschak called for a roll call vote: Caranci no, Domenico yes, DiCarlo no, DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes. Motion carried. STREET SWEEPER Mr. Wurl advised that a new street sweeper had been budgeted in 1977, and the City now has the opportunity to purchase a used one from the City of Westminster for approx- imately $4,500. The Director of Public Works tested the sweeper and was pleased with the performance. Councilman DelPizzo moved that the used street sweeper be purchased from the City of Westminster for the best possible price not to exceed $4,500. Seconded by Coun- cilman Domenico. Roll call vote. Domenico yes, DiLorenzo yes McDonald yes, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo yes, Caranci yes. Motion carried. -6-
