COLABELLO CONSTRUCTION CONT'D ALMEGA PROPERTY - PIERCE OFF HIGHWAY 42 CI TY FLAG Mr. Wurl stated that if a new 25 foot lot is purchased you could not build the struc- ture; however, it is the City's interpre- tation that a house existing on a 25 foot lot can be replaced. He also stated that there is a difference of opinion with the financing agency of this project and a meeting with them has been scheduled to review the Ordinance pertaining to this. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did not feel this was right. Referring back to the Roome property on Roosevelt; Councilman DelPizzo stated that when they requested rezoning of the property for a duplex it was recommended to Council from the Planning Commission that it not be approved, and Council accepted the recommendation of the Board. He asked why the Board of Adjustments accepted the construction on LaFarge. Mr. Wurl stated that the Board of Ad- justments does not change the zoning and therefore, acted on the Colabello request. The Roome change required zoning changesl which had to go through Planning Commission and was denied by Council. Councilman DelPizzo stated that both structures would have been an upgrading of the community and did not feel that one be approved and the other denied. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he had spoke with John Herd in regards to the old City property which was purchased by Mr. Pierce for the construction of a pharm- aceutical company. Mr. Herd stated that Mr. Pierce was planning on selling half of the property due to financial diffi- culties, but was still planning on building. Councilman Domenico stated that when he spoke with Mr. Herd on the matter, it was stated that Mr. Pierce had cleared up his financial problem. Councilman DiLorenzo asked when the City Flag was to be put up. City Administrator Wurl stated that the City is going to put it up in the Council room. -7-
