Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 15, 2023 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br />Haley says the loan program is a good way to promote preservation and help <br />property owners do these kinds of projects. This is an extra way to support them. <br />Burg asks what the length of the loan is. <br />Brackett Hogstad says it is for 20 years. <br />Dalia asks the applicant if the loan helped them move forward with the <br />application process. <br />Madonna says the loan definitely helps because it is 2% under the going rate. <br />We would not be able to do it without it. <br />Dunlap moves and Keller seconds a motion to approve Resolution 4, Series <br />2023. Motion passes unanimously by a roll call vote. <br />Training Discussion <br />Dalia says the training was interesting and informative. <br />Dunlap brings up the discussion of when statewide taxes apply. <br />Keller says it has to be a commercial property in order for that to apply. <br />Haley and the commission discuss the biggest challenges the program faces and <br />what they should be thinking about. <br />Coloring Book Discussion <br />Brackett Hogstad shows the layout. There would be a summary on one page <br />and then the image of the building on the other. She asks for feedback on the <br />format on the summary page. <br />The commission discuss format options. <br />Work Plan & Subcommittee Updates <br />Brackett Hogstad brings up re-evaluating deadlines and time frames for the work <br />plan. The commissioners give subcommittee updates. <br />Items from Staff <br />Brackett Hogstad mentions that for the June meeting, there are 2-3 pending <br />items that may be re -scheduled. She also tells the commission that there were <br />Louisville residents that were acknowledged at the Boulder Heritage Roundtable. <br />Updates from Commission Members <br />None is heard. <br />Adjourn <br />This meeting adjourns at 7:40 PM. <br />
