Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 22, 2023 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />There were no authority member disclosures and the members <br />agreed that the boundaries of the neighborhood are the current city <br />boundaries. <br />Lipton moved the entire application be made part of the record of the <br />hearing; Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />The applicant came forward and was sworn in by the Secretary. The <br />applicants spoke to their transfer application in buying Henry's. <br />Kaufman asked if the applicants have TIPS training. Everyone at the <br />establishment is TIPS trained. <br />Terri Krason, a resident of Louisville, spoke in support of the <br />application. She noted the applicants have made positive changes in <br />the establishment. <br />Steven Lyons, a resident of Louisville, spoke in support of the <br />application. <br />After a brief discussion, Carlson moved that all City and State law <br />requirements have been met and the license be approved and <br />transferred; Kaufman seconded. Roll call vote — Yes (Lipton, <br />Kaufman, Carlson, Crowe). <br />Machado rejoined the meeting. <br />D. Public Hearing / New Application: Shopey's Pizza, LLC d/b/a <br />Shopey's Pizza — Hotel & Restaurant Liquor License — 577 E <br />South Boulder Road <br />Machado opened the public hearing. The Secretary stated the <br />application was complete, the premises was posted, notice published <br />as required. <br />There were no authority member disclosures and the members <br />agreed that the boundaries of the neighborhood are the current city <br />boundaries. <br />Machado moved the entire application be made part of the record of <br />the hearing; Kaufman seconded. All in favor. <br />The applicant came forward and was sworn in by the Secretary. The <br />applicants spoke to their application. Kaufman asked about TIPS <br />training and Machado asked about the location. <br />Tom Horst, owner of Crystal Springs Brewing, spoke in support of the <br />application. He encouraged the authority to grant the license. <br />
