City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 21, 2023 <br />Page 8 of 8 <br />Councilmember Most reiterated that asking for expertise will limit the number of <br />applicants. Staff can provide the expertise and we should look for new ideas from board <br />members and give people the opportunity to serve. <br />Councilmember Leh stated the Council needs to communicate with the boards and <br />listen to what they say. If we want to consolidate any boards we should discuss it with <br />the board members before we make that decision. We also need to be giving the <br />boards meaningful and worthwhile work to do and then the Council needs to listen to <br />their input. <br />Mayor Maloney asked staff to consider combining certain boards as Council noted <br />tonight.
