Staff Report <br />No staff report <br />VII. 2023 Work Plan Discussion and Review <br />Mosquito and Insect "Pest" Control vs. Pollinator Protection <br />John has downloaded some information from CSU and Louisville City <br />website <br />Pollinator -Friendly Planting Initiative <br />Could we encourage reduction of pesticides and some native <br />plantings at the Coal Creek Golf Course? <br />Speaker program <br />So far, Amy has been in touch with Mikela Trove (spelling?) for a <br />presentation in January. Amy is available for a February time slot. <br />Susan is in touch with a speaker from the Northern Water Board for <br />March. A tentative April presentation on Dark Sky could also <br />mention night -flying insects. Need confirmation form Library of <br />meeting room availability (John to follow up). <br />Louisville Re -planting for Pollinators <br />Susan noted that Northern Water District is offering landscaping <br />plans for rebuilding homes <br />Colorado Native Plant Society Plant Exchange in the spring <br />June probably best for timing of planting. John will contact the <br />Blooming Seniors Garden Club in Louisville to promote the plant <br />exchange. Other resources may be available in Louisville from local <br />gardeners. We will need some additional outreach/promotion for <br />this (Louisville Community Newsletter, access to social media?). <br />Local School Program, Pollinator Art Contest <br />Patricia contacts in progress, Josh to continue with contacts at <br />Louisville Elementary <br />16 <br />
