<br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br />LUNDBERG REQUEST <br /> <br />L.U.R.A. - WATER LINE IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />PERSONNEL CODE <br /> <br />NEWS LETTER <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read the letter from Mr. Alan Lund- <br />berg requesting for a vacation of City pro- <br />perty at the end of West Street. After <br />discussion Councilman Caranci moved that <br />the City Attorney be authorized to draw up an <br />Ordinance for vacation of the property stated <br />in the Lundberg request based on the recom- <br />mendation of the City Engineer. Seconded <br />by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated to Council that it was his <br />recommendation that the project for water <br />line improvments be continued and the bid <br />be awarded to the low bid on the cast iron <br />pipe alternate which is American Pipe Line <br />Co. Mr. Wurl stated that HUD will have to <br />approve the combination of the amounts of <br />money last years carryover to this years <br />C.D. money. Mr. Wurl stated to Council that <br />the bid for plastic pipe was roughly under <br />$1,000 of the cast iron pipe. After discussion <br />Councilman Berry moved that Mr. Wurls recom- <br />mendation be approved and authorization be <br />sent to LURA to proceed with the cast iron <br />pipe as bid from American Pipe Line Co. <br />Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. <br />Domenico yes, Berry yes, Dhieux yes, Caranci <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read a letter from Senator Floyd <br />Haskell congratulating the City for receiving <br />a grant from FHA in the amount of $40,000 <br />for parking lot improvements. Mr. Richard <br />Hershy stated that he felt it would be nice <br />to have a sign posted at the public parking <br />lot stating something like Free Parking <br />Compliments of the City of Louisville. <br />After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved that <br />Council authorize the City to call for bids on <br />the parking lot improvements. Seconded by <br />Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl requested this to be tabled until the <br />July 15, 1975, meeting. It was approved by <br />Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the bills will be ready <br />for the July 15, 1975, meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read a letter from Mrs. Meredith <br />Madonna regarding the support of having a <br />news letter. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
