Motion carried. <br /> <br />At the last meeting a Council member <br />brought un the variance that was granted <br />to the Pillar of Fire Church building at <br />Halnut and LaFarge. The building inspec- <br />tors report was submitted. It appears to <br />be in order and there is no dead line in <br />any of our City's Ordinances. Mr. Wurl <br />suggested that' Council get recommendations <br />from the Board of Adjustments on the matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that the City Engineer <br />was asked to make two studies. One to <br />provide Council with an outline which <br />tells \.vhat ,-.vas anticipated in the way of <br />expenditures and cost in the addition <br />of the sewer plant. Second, the report <br />deals with a comparison of costs developed <br />in consulting engineering projects and <br />the amount of work that was supervised <br />by them and those costs as compared to <br />the amount of work that the City Engineer <br />and staff supervised in 1973. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Scholl moved that the Code <br />Enforcement Officer be accented and the <br />publication of the position be placed in <br />the paper. Councilman Berry seconded the <br />motion. Roll call. Domenico yes, Berry <br />yes, Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo no, <br />DiCarlo no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Hr. Ross' sewer line backed up into his <br />home and caused approximately $1,000.00 <br />worth of damage and the insurance company <br />felt that the blockage of the sewer was <br />not caused from the City and did not feel <br />the City should be liable for the damage. <br />Mr. DeSantis represented the insurance <br />company and explained why the claim was <br />denied by the company. Councilman Del- <br />Pizzo stated that he felt that there <br />were titreS \vhen the insurance company <br />unjustly refused to pay. Mr. DeSantis <br />objected to this, however Mr. DelPizzo <br />wished it to go on record in that state- <br />ment. Mr. Ross stated that the line had <br />been blocked before and he had notified <br />the City in regards to this matter at <br />previous meetings. Councilman Berry <br /> <br />-6- <br />
