TAX REBATE FOR
THE ELDERLY

City Administrator Wurl reported that several
cities have been giving the City portion of the
property tax as a rebate to the elderly 65 years
and older. It would cost the City in the neigh-
borhood of $5,000.00 per year.
Councilman Donovan moved that City Attorney
Morris be instructed to prepare Ordinance - tax
rebate for City's share of property tax to the
elderly citizens. Seconded by Councilman Jensen.
All in favor. Motion carried.

COUNCIL COMl1ENTS

Councilman Deborski stated that he had a request
on some property that was zoned for Commercial
Business on McKinley Street. The property in
question had been rezoned residential when the
Ordinance went into effect.

CHANGE IN PAY
PERIODS FOR
CITY EMPLOYEES

Mayor Caranci requested that City Clerk McNulty
be instructed that pay periods for City employees
will be on the 5th and 20th of each month in
lieu of the 15th and 30th, and five (5) days
be withheld - time going in from the first
and 15th to be paid on the 20th and time worked
from the 16th through the 31st be paid on the
5th of the following month.

Councilman Domenico stated he had a request
from Father Ryan for some of the dirt taken
out for the swimming pool. Also Father Ryan
had inquired if there was wing to be a fence
between the Nuns' property and the swimming
pool. Permission granted by Council for the
dirt, and City Administrator Wurl stated there
would be a fence erected between the Nuns' pro-
perty and the swimming pool.

Councilwoman Scholl stated she had been put on
the Cemetery Committee and requested to have
certain changes made and she was unable to get
anything definite from the City Attorney up to
the present time; asked what could be done.
Mayor Caranci instructed Councilwoman Scholl to
get together with the Cemetery Committee and
get the required changes done on their own.

Councilman Domenico requested if there was any
surplus dirt from the swimming pool it be dumped
on the southeast corner of the American Legion
Hall.

Page - 3 -
