Morrie explained if the Sanitation <br />District mernes with the Oieyj the City will take over allliabili- <br />ties of the istrictwhich would be $3$,000 in bonds and interest. . <br />This would create no problem due to the fact ~he City would receive <br />all revenue due to the District. An election wll1have to be held <br />to approve or disapprove the merger. Will have to be taken to <br />District Court for new funding and borrow enough to pay oft bond- <br />ed indebtedness and construct a new plant. This all will take time <br />before anything can actually be accomplished. Attorney Morris <br />suggested that the $37,000 bonded ind~btedness of the Sanitation <br />District be paid off at the time the City acquires control of the <br />District facilities and be bonded in conjuction with sewer imp- <br />rovements. <br />Mr Conorro~ suggested the District sell the land that they owa. <br />Motion bv Donovan to follow attorney Morris suggestion to draw <br />. . u <br />up concept of acquisition ot Sanitation istrict seconded by <br />King Motion carried. <br /> <br />,". <br />CITY ADtr.}.1ISTRATORS REPORT Requested a resolution to have the <br />Deputy ity Clerk sign cheCKS in case 9f the absence of the City <br />Clerk.. Motion by Bonovan seconded by Uomenico that the resolution <br />be drawn.' .Motion carried. <br />Reported he was going ahead to buy gasoline on a credit card basis <br />for ~ City motor vehicles which will sav~ the City money. ; <br />Rece~~ed some questions as to whether the ~ity has a .burial ground <br />for the needy. This matter was referred to the Cemetery committee <br />they are to report next meeti~. Motion by Jensen seconded by D6novan Attorney <br />Morris negotiate in the event that they change from irrigation <br />to domestic per original contract.
