<br />COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />JULY 18, 1972 <br /> <br />Regular meeting called to order by Mqor Lawrence Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Present Deborsld, Ki.ng, Jensen, llinovan, Maxwell. Absent Domenico <br /> <br />ACCEP'rANCE OF HINUTES: <br /> <br />Ac<cepted as presented. <br /> <br />At a meeting held July 11, 1972, the City Council approved the suggested <br />densi.ty program as presented by Sproul Homes. <br /> <br />Application of Eugene and James Vecchiarelli for extension of building <br />to White Front Inn 'Was presented. Attorney Morris advised it would have <br />to be posted and published. Tabled until next meeting. Decision came <br />from Attorney next d~ not necessary to post or publish. <br /> <br />COM}'lITTEES : <br />Water: <br />Finance: <br />Cemetery: <br /> <br />No report <br />No report <br />Maxwell recommended that City Council approve appointment <br />of Cemeteiry Board, consisting of 3 citizens - one from each <br />ward. MClticm by Maxwell, seconded by IBborski that Gene Tavoni, <br />Marge La:rmk and June Nalczyk be appointed to Cemetery Board. <br />Motion ccLrr:l.ed. King - make term effective to December, 1973. <br />Maxwell.. t:\rpe of work is similar to 'What Parks & Recreation <br />are doing. Could Parks & Recreation take care of it and <br />use same equipment 1 <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION: <br />Helart - They have list, of maintenance items - not enough to adequately <br />do the jobs. Also (~omplete projected budget included. <br />Maxwell - point of ()rdI3r, I am not the chairman of Finance - Virgil <br />Donovan Chairman. <br />Stated they had appro\T~3d $1,200 for YMCA, but they have no claims to <br />it so it is still in budget. <br />Had some complaints on the paygrounds at the High School not being done. <br />If not once a week .~heJn it should be cleaned bi-weekly. <br />Watering problem at COJrnmunity Hall. <br />King - complaint in regards to where Neighborhood Youth Corp. is working. <br />Max - BOJTs cannot work 'Without supervision. Waldon - someone is supposed <br />to be wi th them at .rill times. <br />Max - Vben the crew works at the Cemetery the boys go home. <br />Helart - is it wor~~while? No. <br />Maxwell - not committed to right people - boys has not had meaningful <br />employment have to have correct supervision. <br />Deborski - How long is this program for this year? Through 1st or 2nd <br />week of August. <br />
