Notion carried. <br /> <br />Cm1rI,IITEE REPORTS: <br />~fAr'~R: Water Committee to meet and <br />sent to City Administrator. <br />1972 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />discuss water issues to pre- <br />Water meeting September 25, <br /> <br />STREErS: No report. <br /> <br />FINANCE;: Mr. G~r Akins to prepare budget; also nreparing detail <br />budget for future years. <br /> <br />PA.R.KS & RECREATION: <br />Keith Helart, Chairman of Darks and Recreation, requested <br />permission to conduct a bond issue for a swinrrning pool and other <br />park improvements" The bond issue would be for $100,000.00 and then <br />would try for matching funds for a federal grant. The swimming pool <br />would be located at Community Hal}. with a !~onnection to the proposed <br />park across the street. The bond election would have to be before <br />December 1, 197:2. Mr. Helart stated there would be off-street <br />parking and it .would be centrally located. <br />l'lJL'0'v"ELL: Personally I am opposed to a bond issue - also not a good location <br />--- - would cost more as it progresses. <br />HELAR'r: It would be a very good location and withi..1'1 walking distance from <br />-- almost any where in town. <br />DEBORSKI: Consulting firm prepared analysis at Commlll1ity Hall. <br />DOMENICO: Should have a straw vote. <br />HELA.ii.T: Let's find out if the people really want a pool or not by putiJing <br />it on a bond election. <br />Motion by Maxwell to authorize Parks and Recreation to schedule <br />a bond election, pending aoproval of legaJ council. Motion seconded <br />by Jensen" Roll call vote - Deborski yes, King no, Jensen yes, Dono- <br />van yes, Maxwell yes, Domenico no. Notion carried. <br />OONOVAN: City support 50% of matching :t\mds. <br /> <br />Letters from Ken B:rlIDS and CAP Construction - change order #7, amount <br />$7,745.42. Mc;>tion by King, seconded by Deborski to acceot change order #7 <br />Job #676-104. Roll call vote - Domenico yes, Maxwell yes, Donovan yes, <br />Jensen yes, King yes, Th30brski yes. Motion carried. <br />Electric - cost $4,523.,~2. MDtion by King, seconded by Deborski to aceept <br />change order #7-676-4. Roll call vote - Deborski yes, King yes, Jensen yes, <br />Donovan yes, Haxwell yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br />
