<br />ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />October 24, 1972 <br /> <br />Adjourned Council Illee1..ing opened by Mayor Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present, : King, Domenico, Maxwell and Donovan <br />Absent:: Jensen and Deborski <br /> <br />Im)OLUTION #24 <br />Read by Mayor Caranci - regarding bond election for Parks and Rec- <br />reation. Motion b~' Dcmovan that Resolution #24 be adopted; seconded <br />by Maxwell. Atter SOl1lle discussion as to pool location and wording of <br />the resolution, Mr.. ~LXWell withdrew his second - motion died in interim. <br />Paul was asked to Clomo into the meeting after jury trial for rewording <br />and clarification of resolution. <br /> <br />COAL CREEK <br />King reported _E~ting to be held November 15, 1972, 7:30 p.m. <br />Lafayette City Hall, purpose of meeting to try to adopt an entity. <br /> <br />PLANN ING COMMISSIOlir: <br />Mayor Caranci -requested a lett.er be sent to Planning Commission <br />stating that Chuck King be appointed a member in place of Caranci. <br /> <br />BUD(} El' : <br />On original presEmtation $44,930 deficit; plus $30,000 for Ken <br />Bruns fee on Sanit~lti(:>n plant. Upon suggestions from Mr. Wurl and <br />discussion with COlmcjLl men present, cut backs were made in the <br />various departlllentfs 8J1d a balanced budget was achieved. <br />Motion by King, liJeconded by Donovan that propos eel budget be ac- <br />cepted as amended ~md public hearing set for November 21, 1972. <br />Roll Call vote - n)Jl8uico yes, King yes, lbnovan yes, Maxwell, yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 24: <br />Paul changed wording as requested and clarified same. Bond <br />election to be helci Nlt)vember 28, 1972 at City Hall. Motion by King, <br />seconded by Donov&Jl that Resolution #24 as corrected by adopted and <br />published. Roll clul vote Ibmenico - no, King yes, Donovan yes, <br />Maxwell yes. Motic)n l::alTied. <br />Paul needed the llamas of 3 judges to complete the resolution <br />and tenatively givcm 1loJere: Sue Lastoka, Lee Zarini, and Ethel <br />Lawrence (to be appro'ved by Council). <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE OF aRKS: <br />Jerry Maxwell rel~omm.ended a clarification be made with the Parks <br />and Recreation as t.o lna1ntenance of the parks. Keith expressed dis- <br />appointment of the condition of the parks during the past summer and <br />mentioned how many of their members had mowed the lawns. At the sugges- <br />tion of Mr. WA1rl the Gi ty will continue to maintain the parks and per- <br />haps with added help 'W'e will do a good job. <br />
