<br />COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />MAY 18, 1971 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Following were present Tomeo, King, Berry, Mudpock, <br />Dondelinger and Perrella. <br /> <br />KEN BRUNS: Ken .iJt'uns reported on bids for pump stfltion and water <br />line '.to the north west corner of trailer court. Ken <br />Bru.ns recommended bid for the water line only be given <br />to the low bidder which wonld be Ajax. More study <br />must be given to the bids on the pump stati.on aud Bruns <br />,'!ill give his -,'eport at the meeting May 24th. Hoved <br />by Berry seconded b'T Dondelinger to award pipe ~.ine <br />bid to Ajax. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Heport bI Jess from .bruns office on Government rrant for <br />v!ater improvements. All looks good at this point. Bruns <br />office requested authorization of additional $1,200. to <br />cover expense of Envirromental Impact Report, that must <br />he made to H.U.D. <br />Eeq'lest tabled until May 24th meeting. <br /> <br />Police pay discussion by Council. Pay must run from the <br />10th to the 25th each month. Pay days the 15th and 30th. <br /> <br />~Ta,ycees urged cou,;cil to adop resolution to adopt an Urban <br />Henewal Authority. Dondeli-ger moved to adopt resolution <br />seconded by King. Roll Call vote Mudrock yes, Dondelinger <br />yes, Berry yes, King Yes, Tomeo No, Perrella abEtain (No <br />Vote) . <br /> <br />Council requested a letter be sent to County Planning Comm- <br />ission requesting a 30 day delay on hearing on a proposed <br />Industrial Complex between Broomfield and Louisville to the <br />south of the City. Perrella to draft letter. <br /> <br />Faul Morris, Attorney, will meet with school Attorney Kaplan <br />to discuf's the agreement between the City and ;)chool on water <br />service to the new high school. Paul will make changes in <br />draft and present to Council and school board fer aoproval. <br /> <br />Paul reported that the ten and! shares of Howard water offered <br />to the City could be purchased in 2 share lots each year, <br />until all shares are purchased. <br />
