<br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />JUNE 1, 1971 <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Following were present Tomeo, King, Berry, Mudrock, <br />Dondelinger, Perrella <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF ''MINUTES : Minutes accepted as presented. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: Letter from the Descere Club with che ck in <br />the amount of $3.00 to be used for the planter <br />in front of City Hall. Council agreed to be <br />used in'petty cash. <br /> <br />POLICE CONMISSION: No report. <br /> <br />ITEMS NOT ON AGENDA: Dick Bodhaine from Parks & Recreation stated he <br />had received several telephone ca~ls in regards <br />to the weeds and lawn cutting at I,;ornmunity Hall <br />and Miners Park. Yayor was under the impression <br />that P & R were responsible for maintenance but <br />it is up to the City. Mr. Sanks stated it would <br />taken care of now that the men are through at the <br />cemetery. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Miller, 564 Frant, requested that the <br />alley running north and south in the five hundred <br />block, between Grant And Jefferson be vaqated and <br />the ground deeded to hitn. He has contacted the <br />neighbor and they are willing to have this done. <br />Attorney Morris stated it would be up to him to <br />pay for all legal matters. It should be done by <br />ordinance. City should abandon the alley and <br />each property owner would be entitled to one-half <br />of the alley. This could be done by quite claim deed. <br />Perrella - City should check alley for water and <br />sewer mains. Mayor suggested that Tomeo, Perrella <br />and Max check this alley. June 3, 1971 at 2 O'clock. <br /> <br />Jess, Ken Bruns Associates, who is under contract <br />for development on comprehensive service plan to <br />facilitate city expansion of the water system <br />apparently has been a misunderstanding over fees. <br />Explained that requirements changed after the <br />contract was signed and has caused a warience <br />in the fee schedule. Decided to review the matter <br />~nth Ken Bruns at a City Council work session. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci stated he has had only two volunteers <br />for Louisville Urban Renewal Authority which must <br />be created to:iIDplement~such a 'program. No less <br />than five members are needed for th~ committee. <br /> <br />The amount involved in the contract with Ken Bruns <br />~ould be $1240. Attorney morris to make determination <br />
