<br />"- <br /> <br />- Page 2 - <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci informed Mr. Varra that Council would let him know within <br />a week to 10 days whether or not the original contract could be rescinded. <br /> <br />ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA: <br /> <br /> <br />'.e <br /> <br />1. Mr. Paul Miller asked for a copy of the Ordinance vacating the <br />alley near his property. This was delayed for second reading <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />2. Tony DelPizzo inquired if' there was any land, approximate~ ~ acre, <br />or 12,000 to 15,000 sq. ft. available in the Industrial Park Area <br />to start a meat rendering business w make Italian sausage. He <br />specifically mentioned the fonner John Madison property. Councilman <br />Berry informed him that this property had been sold to Explosive Fabri- <br />cators. Mayor Caranci stated that Paul Morris would review the plait <br />map and let Mr. DelPizzo know if there was any land available in <br />Industrial Park. In the meantime Councilmen Perrella and Mudrock <br />recommended that Mr. DelPizzo submit a resime of the type business <br />they wish to start along with adrawing of the proposed building. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci stated he would have an answer for him by the end of <br />the week. <br /> <br />3. Dennis Lumberg and Mark Warriner requested that City Council and the <br />Urban Renewal Committee have a joint meeting to discuss the Housing <br />Code. This maeting was set for Thursday, 19 August 1971. <br /> <br />4.johnny Waschak, 601 Johnson Ave. reported very bad holes in th e street <br />in front ot his home. Mr. Sanks to check and repair. <br /> <br />Motion by Berry that the Fire Department extend protection to out- <br />lying areas until De~.3lst, contingent that the present tire truck <br />remain in our possession until this time; seconded by Perrella. <br />Passed unanimous~. <br /> <br />Motion by King that a letter be wri tten to the Denver Water Board <br />giving our endorseIl&l t ot approval of their selling water to Broom- <br />tield. Seconded by Deondelinger. Passed unanimous~. <br /> <br />Motion by Mudrock that bids be published for curb and gutter at the <br />Udovich property and bids to widen the culvert. Seoonded by King. <br />Passed unanimous~. Berry also recommended that bids be re-opened <br />to black-top Jefferson Ave. before bad. weather sets in. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci had been contacted by Joe Madonna stating a meeting <br />would be held at DRCOG 18 Augus,t 1971 to discuss lengthlIDing the <br /> <br />
