BI~CKLEY, BECKLEY PROPERTIES, REPRESENTING
PROTECTOR CORPORA TION.. CONTINUED FROM 12/2/97

Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated the applicant is requesting final PUD for a 15,000 sq. ft. light
and manufacturing building in eTC. The property is located on the west side of Arthur Avenue,
north of Cherry Street. The majority of the building would be used by the Protector Corporation. The
location, north of Cherry Street, led to a continuance from the last meeting. The Fire Marshall
indicated a need for secondary access to the property. The Fire Marshall determined that secondary
access was not required as access is l~~ss than 300' north of Cherry Street. The resolution contained
two conditions: The primary access requirement and fire protection on the property. Two fire
hydrants are to be installed and operable prior to combustible construction on the lot. The applicant
did not intend to sprinkler the building. If the building were to be sprinkled, the applicant wanted to
receive a credit and be required to have only one fire hydrant.

2
