Senior Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 15, 2009 <br />Senior Center <br />900 West Via Appia <br />1:00 PM <br />Call to Order In Connie's absence, Carol Purfurst called the meeting to order at <br />1:00 pm. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Carol Purfurst, Bob Pierce, Claire Floyd, Larry <br />Brassem, Rosalie Lynn, Michael Goss <br />Board Members Absent: Connie Howes, Walt Oehlkers, Barbara Peterson <br />(also AAC Representative); Barbara Wilson (AAC Representative <br />Staff Members Present: Claudine Low, Senior Services Supervisor; Joe <br />Stevens, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />Staff Members Absent: Dave Clabots, City Council Liaison <br />Guests: Maureen Dobson, Rosemary Wood, Ron Leggett <br />Approval of Agenda Larry moved, and Mike G seconded that the agenda be <br />approved. Agenda approved. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes —Bob moved and Larry seconded that the July <br />minutes be approved with the correction that date of today's meeting be changed <br />to September 15. Minutes approved. <br />Public Comments Ron Leggett thanked the Board for paying his registration <br />fees for the Senior Games again this year, and passed round his award of 1st <br />place for the Javelin. He has competed in almost 20 years of games, 15 for the <br />javelin.
