RESOLUTTON NO. 59 <br />SERIES 2000 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PURCHASE CONTRACT TO BUY <br /> AND SELL REAL ESTATE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville desires to purchase for potential use for parking <br />facilities and other governmental purposes, a parcel of land of approximately 5,840 <br />square feet owned by Steinbaugh Ace Hardware Co. and located at 824 Front Street, <br />Louisville, Colorado, in the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 8, <br />Township I South, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M., Boulder County, Colorado (hereinafter <br />"the Property"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of the Property has stated its desire to sell the Property to <br />the City upon the terms and conditions described in a mutually-agreeable Purchase <br />Contract. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE 11' RESOLVED BY THE CI'I'Y COUNCIL OF THE cTrY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> 1. . The proposed Purchase Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate between the <br />City of Louisville and Steinbaugh Ace Hardware Co. regarding the Property is hereby <br />approved in essentially the same form as the copy of such Purchase Contract <br />accompanying this Resolution. <br /> <br /> 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the Purchase Contract, except that the <br />Mayor is hereby granted the authority to negotiate and approve such revisions to said <br />Purchase Contract as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable for the protection <br />of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of the Purchase Contract are not <br />altered. <br /> <br /> 3. The Mayor, City Administrator and City Staff are further authorized to do all <br />things necessary on behalf of the City to perform the obligations of the City under the <br />Purchase Contract, and to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to effect <br />the purchase of the Property under the terms and conditions of the Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17u~ day of October, 2000. <br /> <br />Nancy Varra~ City Clerk <br /> <br />Tom Davidson, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
