Colorado 110329 <br /> MINUS OPT LOUISVILLE PARKS AND HECI€ITION REGULAR MEETING, AUGUST 15, 1974. <br /> Chairman Keith Helart called meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. All members present <br /> except Lary Springer. Also present, Coaches Gene DICarlo, Jr. and Nash Rangel. <br /> Minutes of August 1st meeting were read and approved. <br /> NEW MEMBER TO PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION: <br /> Because City Council did not approve first recommendation a second vote was <br /> held for an addition], member to serve on the Board. Those considered were <br /> Mrs Sheila Ryan, Mr. Chuck :carpella, Mr. Ken Ferrera and 4r. Dick 1Todhaine. <br /> unanimous decision, Mrs. Sheila Ryan was chosen for the vacancy to serve a <br /> 2 year term. Secretary wil] send a memo to City Council with this recommenda- <br /> tion. <br /> LITTLE LEAGUE REQUEST: <br /> Coaches Nash Rangel and Gene Mario, Jr. presented the board with a $97.50 <br /> bill from DiGiacomo's Photography. This bill represents photos taken of the <br /> champion team of the 1974 Jeffco League. The coaches also approached the <br /> board about purchasing 20 warnup Jackets for this champion team. They estimate <br /> the cost of these jackets tc be $20.00 each including lettering. Chairman <br /> advised the coaches that Par4s and Recreation is trying to curb spending in <br /> a:cordance with the City's wishes. They were advised that their proposal will <br /> be discussed and a decision will be forthcoming in about 2 weeks. <br /> DIRECTOR':> REPORT: <br /> 1. Finance Committee has turned down the payment of P&R instructors for the <br /> :lamer program. In conjunction with this, a special meeting has been <br /> scheduled between Director August Hioco and the finance committee on <br /> Tuesday, Auggust 20th at 7:00 F.M. <br /> 2. Budget meeting is scheduled for September 5th. <br /> 3. Shelterhouse Bid. Mr. Kennedy has came down on the price of building the <br /> shelterhouse at Memory Square Park faro $8,200 to $7,200. Dave Chenoweth <br /> is prc,posing a way to build the shelterhouse for the City to Urban Renewal <br /> board. P&R will listen to the proposal after Mr. Chenowreth has talked to <br /> LURA. <br /> 4.. Carpeting for bathhouse. The low bid for carpeting the bathhouse area was <br /> from Seader's Carpeting at $692.60. A decision on the color was made and <br /> Mr. Hioco was advised to proceed with getting the carpet installed after <br /> the pool closingg. <br /> 5. Janitor Service. Mr. Hioco suggested renting a commercial scrubber to clean <br /> the wry floor in the main area of the Ccmtxumity Building. Also, he would <br /> like to set up a schedule of work which should be done each week or possibly <br /> consider a Janitorial service. No decision was made at this time. <br /> cont'd. <br />
