} <br /> PUBLIC MEETING #1 <br /> for <br /> COM'RUNITY DEVELOPMENT SMALL CITIES PROGRAM <br /> TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 1978, 7:30 P.M. • COMMUNITY BUILDING <br /> 801 GRANT AVENUE, LOUISVILLE, COLORADO <br /> MINUTES <br /> Public Meetings will be sponsored by the <br /> Louisville Urban Renews/ Authority <br /> Louisville Urban Renewal Authority Chairman Robert Hinsberger called Call to Order <br /> the Public Meeting #1 to order. <br /> Attending: <br /> Robert Hinsberger 728 LaFarge Ave. Attendance <br /> Roz Camps 641 Main St. <br /> Greg Coleman 501 Jefferson Ave. <br /> Jay Fell 1722 Garfield Ave. #202 <br /> Dennis Lundberg 1950 Garfield Ave. <br /> John Stead 600 Main St. <br /> David Chenoweth LURA Director <br /> Joy McClard 119 Aline St. <br /> Chairman stated the purpose of the Public Meeting #1, CO Small Cities Purpose of <br /> Program. Two types of grants will be made, 1) Single Purpose Grants, Meeting <br /> maximum amount $300,000 and 2) Comprehensive Grants (multiple use) <br /> maximum amount $750,000. Total amount to be granted Is $2,332,000. <br /> and all small cities are in competion for a share of the grant. The <br /> City may apply for only one grant. A small city is defined as population <br /> of under 50,000. <br /> All proposed activities must benefit low and moderate income persons, <br /> eliminate or prevent slums or blight, or deal with an urgent need. <br /> Chenoweth told group that many small cities will be competing for the <br /> Comprehensive grants, however, it is believed that Louisville's <br /> chances for funding could be more likely with Single Purpose grant. <br /> The eligible and non-eligible activities were discussed, with the Input <br /> following input: <br /> 1. Code Enforcement Ror Camps <br /> 641 Main <br /> 2. Eliminate the fire siren located at City Hall Robert Hinsberger <br /> 728 LaFarge <br /> 3. Storm sewer installation in southern part of City Staff <br /> Louisville. 749 Main St. <br /> Chairman Hinsberger adjourned the meeting at 9:15 P.M.
