Director <br /> Cleo Mudrock, Dep. City Clerk <br /> Chairman Hinsberger handed out an agenda to those present, and gave <br /> a brief history of LURHA. He stated in 1972 the Jaycees started the <br /> program. LCDC was later formed and received the first government grant <br /> for the 4-plexes for the elderly at 556 LaFar a Ave. Chairman Hins- <br /> berger stated that the deed to this property has never been turned <br /> over to the City, consequently Steve Anderson has full responsibility <br /> for maintenance and rent collection. <br /> Total grant amount (1972-1980) $1,395,00, of this amount $361,961 was <br /> spent for rehabilitation of 105 residences; $563,999 for Capital Im- <br /> provements on water lines, storm sewer, street overlay, water main <br /> replacements and Memory Square Park. The balance of the funds were <br /> spent for administration and relocation. <br /> Under the administration of the Louisville Housing Authority, Regal <br /> Square Elderly Housing was constructed and consists of 30 units. The <br /> total FHA loan for the project is $783.800 payable in 20 years . <br /> Two years ago the city received a grant in the amount of 1.456 million <br /> dollars and the LURHA Board requested that Executive Director Rupp <br /> pursue obtaining land for another 30 unit project. This was done and Mr. <br /> Rupp showed drawings and designs of the proposal. The proposal will <br /> consist of 4 - two bedroom units (one of which is for handicapped) ' <br /> 20 - three bedroom units (single family, duplex and tri-plex) <br /> 6 - four bedroom family units (single family) <br /> The units will be brick exterior with composition roofing. The proposed <br /> site is located in Cedarwood Park Subdivision, Belmar and Associates (form- <br /> erly owned by Ralph Johnson) at Hutchinson and West St.. This proposal <br /> is for low to moderate income families only. Those earning $17,000 - <br /> $18,000 annually would be eligible to apply for residency. These units <br /> are not for sale and would be strictly rentals. Fair market rental costs <br /> would be 308 - one-bedroom <br /> 368 - two bedroom <br /> 422 - three bedroom <br /> 477 - four bedroom <br /> Monthly <br /> Afrir,7 5- )fr- <br />
