. •
MEMO Page -3-
Harper Lake area to enlarge our water *torn* facilities.
We have worked out that arrangement. The State has agreed
to fund part of the project, which would have to be repaid
if the project is built We are now ready to proceed and
once again we need Council's authorization for the Mayor
and City Clerk to sign the contracts.
D. Wastewater Treatment Plant - Authorize City's Participation
I mentioned to the Council sometime ago that there were
several items that we needed to address in conjunction
with Romart/Kahan's expansion of the wastewater treat-
ment plant for the Mall. That has come down to a total
cost of $1,411,600.00 estimated cost - of that the Mall's
participation would be $897,100.00, City's participation
would be $514,500.00. Enclosed is an outline that tells
you what those actual differences are; what segment of the
plant is proposed for improvement and how that relates to
the City. Our proposal here would be to provide funds
from a Revenue Bond Issue on future sewer revenues to
be paid for by taps, but would have to by necessity be
backed up by other sewer revenues in the event the tap
fees didn't come through. I hope to have a rough break-
down from Boettcher and Co. on what the bond costs would
be and how that would be programmed into our existing
bonded indebtedness as relates to wastewater.
Item 9. Council Comments and Committee Reports
Item 10. Approval of the Bills
Item 11. Adjournment.
