Resolution #24 - Public Service Co. - Special Review Use
and Final Plat
The information relating to this is enclosed as well as
the recommendation of the Planning Commission that the
Council approve this spacial review use.
C. Resolution #25 - Land end Water Conservation Program
Sometime ago we received a request from the State Land
and Water Conservation people to particir ate in the adoption
of resolutions that would be sent to cirtain members of the
Congress that would hopefully encourage them to retain the
program, which in the past has been very beneficial to
Louisville. We have received grants for a number of our
parks and our pool and we feel it is quite appropriate that
we be supportive of this program. We recommend that the
Council adopt the resolution.
Item 8. City Administrator's Report .
A. Water Truck - Award Bids on Truck and Lease
At the last meeting I recommended that the truck bid be
awarded to the low bidder and the lease quote be awarded
to the low bidder. I am once again recommending that we do
lease the vehicle so that we don't tie up funds that could
be utilized for the acquisition of other open space. Under
separate cover, I am sending you a memo and a list showing
the various locations proposed for acquisition.
B. Police Pension - Authorize Actuarial Study
A recommendation in the audit and in several past audits
that we hire someone to do an actuarial study of the police
pension, so that we can determine what our responsibilities
are as relates to that particular program. We have solicited
quotes from various people and they are enclosed; also a
memo from the finance officer that Council authorize the firm
of Alexander and Alexander to proceed with the actuarial study.
C. Denver Water Board Proposal
Enclosed is the up-dated version of the proposal. You will
also note that the date has been extended for the consideration
of this umail July 20, 1982 . I am hoping that because of the
light agenda we can perhaps discuss this proposition. In the
interim, I am preparing for you some cost-comparisons on
alternate proposals. Unfortunately I won't have that done
until either very late Friday or early Monday because we are
meeting Friday at noon - the City Water Attorney, the Water
Engineer and myself - to develop that information.
