We are asking for Council's <br /> authorization for the Mayor and Clerk to sign the contract. <br /> B. Accurate Electric - Pay Estimate #2 - Traffic Signal <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the pay estimate plus a memo from both <br /> Centennial Engineering and our City Engineer authorizing <br /> payment. <br /> C. Coal Creeek Water Standards - Report <br /> By way of a report, we are submitting a memo from the City <br /> Engineer which will bring you up-to-date as to what is pro- <br /> gressing relative to our wastewater discharge permit . We <br /> would very much appreciate, in a separate study session, to <br /> review in depth this problem and obtain from Council your <br /> approval to proceed with our opposition pertinent to the <br /> designation of the stream standards as they presently are; <br /> of course, which effects the costs associated with the plant <br /> in terms of ammonia removal and the chlorine standards. <br /> D. Boulder County 1041 Standards <br /> Under separate cover, we are sending you a copy of the County' s <br /> proposal to impose 1041 standards on the City utility projects <br /> outside our city limits. What we would like to do ishopefully the <br /> same night that we would discuss the wastewater permit require- <br /> ments; perhaps we could go into detail regarding what we feel <br /> the impact of these 1041 standards would be on our City. I <br /> also hope to be able to have drafted a sample kind of resolution <br /> for your consideration at your next council meeting that would <br /> put us on record as opposing the implementation of the standards <br /> that are being considered by the Commissioners . <br /> E. Medical Center Planning Meeting <br /> I still have not heard a final date. I suggested to the people <br /> involved that the date be set for the 14th because we had a <br /> conflict on the 16th when we will be meeting with the Human <br /> Services people. <br /> F. Denver Water Proposal <br /> The deadline, of course, for the consideration of this is this <br /> evening' s meeting day and I am attempting to get approval from <br /> Denver to permit us to have council consider it at this <br /> meeting and our approval would be in their hands on Wednesday, <br /> morning, September 8, 1982 . If this cannot be done, 1 will be <br /> in contact with you so that should we decide to proceed and they <br />
