REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 16 1982 The City Council of the City of Louisville met in regular session in the Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. Mayor Norbert Meier called the meeting to order at 7 :31 F.M. M.S.T. There being present at the call of the roll the following persons : COUNCILMEMBERS: John Leary, Michael Cussen, Susan Morris , Don Cummings , Dennis Ferrera, and Herman Fauson ALSO PRESENT: Leon A. Wurl , City Administrator Curt Rautenstraus , City Attorney William Reason, City Treasurer John Rupp, Director of Community Development August Hioco , Director of Community Services Rod Leesman , Director of Public Safety David Blanchard, City Engineer Sharon Coronet, Chief Accountant Cleo Mudrock, City Clerk APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mayor Meier and council approved the minutes of the regular meeting of November 3 , 1982 as presented. ITEMS ENCLOSED Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera seconded that the items enclosed be accepted and brought up under the proper head of business . Question called for . All in favor. Motion carried. COUNCIL ITEMS Attorney Rautenstraus advised that the appli- ROYAL OIL CO. - 3.2% BEER cation was in order . LICENSE RENEWAL Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cussen APPROVAL seconded that the Royal Oil Co . 3 . 2% Beer License renewal be approved. Question called for . All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUST- Mayor and councilmembers had a copy of a MENT ASSOCIATE MEMBER APPOINT- letter from the Chairman of the Board of MENT Appeals and Adjustments to recommend appoint- ment of Norm Laurence to fill the Associate Member vacancy. Councilman Leary Inquired if this vacancy had been advertised. He was informed that it was not . Leary felt is was not appropriate to make the appointment without advertising the vacancy; since , in his opinion , this Board has a quasi judicial function they should not necessarily make recommendations to Council as to whom should be appointed. He also felt persons seeking the appointment should provide more information.
