M E M O R A N D U M TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: LEON A. WURL, CITY ADMINISTRATOR DATE: JUNE 1, 1984 RE: CITY COUNCIL AGENDA FOR THE REGULAR MEETING OF JUNE 5, 1984 ITEMS 1 THROUGH 7 - Self Explanatory Item 8. Public Comments Item 9. General Council Items A. SAFEWAY STORES, INC. - CORPORATE STRUCTURE CHANGE Approval for the Corporate structure change is requested. The information is enclosed. B. B.D.M. INC. (THE DEPOT) - CORPORATION NAME CHANGE Approval for this name change is requested by the Corporation and a copy of the information is enclosed. C. DOWNTOWN PARKING IMPROVEMENTS - AWARD BID Enclosed is a copy of a memorandum and the bid tabulation for the parking improvements in the downtown area. Note on the bids there was an addition made after the bids were awarded to expand the museum parking lot by 4 spaces and to add a parking area in the 600 block on Front St. across from the Post Office which has increased the amount of the bid, but still well within what we anticipated spend- ing on parking improvements in the downtown area in 1984. Recommendation is that Council award the bid to the low bidder Jicineky Construction Co. D. FLAG DAY - MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION A copy of the proclamation is enclosed. E. DOWNTOWN STEERING COMMITTEE - FUNDING REQUEST Enclosed is a copy of the memorandum incorporating their funding request as relates to the budget for 1985. There may be additional information submitted relating to this on Monday depending on the outcome of the Steering Committee's meeting this Saturday. F. PLISKA - WATER TAP REQUEST A copy of Mr. Pliska's letter is enclosed as well as a map depicting the lot on which he is requesting outside water service. Since we are serving almost all the lots on that side of the street in the County, the recommendation is that Council authorize this lot to be served.
