Summarized the annexation policy, stating that
Council is not annexing any land beyond 10
acres, with 2 units on thew, at this time:
unless there is a compelling benefit to the
City. This proposal certainly does not
meet the first criteria and before Council
would refer it to the Planning Commission
would be whstlisr they feel there is enough
compelling benefit to place it in the pro-
cess.
Mr. Ochsner reiterated one of the major
compelling benefits would be the land given
to the city to expand the Louisville Reservoir.
Councilman Luce Commented in his recollection of the topo-
Home Sites graphy of the area is that all of the
potential houses, under discussion, is after
that area that begins to drop off at the
mesa?
Mr. Ochsner stated if he understood Council-
man Luce's question - it would be below the
area where it drops off - no, it would be
up above and staging into the area before
it drops off. Mr. Haas stated it was basi-
cally flat on the top so that the Reservoir
could be expanded, and the land behind
Continental View would be additional land
that would be given to the City, so that
you could have the green-belt, park, tennis
courts - whatever the City wanted. Then
as you go to that ridge then there would
be houses on both sides - on the left side
they would all be ranch style and would
average $250,000 - $300,000. On the other
side we would place them so that nobody's
view would be obstructed.
Councilman Luce stated his concern was
that the City had drawn a line in terms
of where it is willing to provide services
up as far as the plateau of the mesa and
when it begins to drop off, then from our
prospective that's not desirable to provide
services beyond that.
